Ophelia Amar
Ophelia Amar is a French-British musician based in London. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music under the direction of David Titterington (MMus and Advanced Diploma in organ). She was awarded a Premier Prix in piano and in organ from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, where she studied with Éric Lebrun. She is an active performer both in the UK and in France, and currently works as the administrator of the St Albans International Organ Festival.

Darius Battiwalla
Darius Battiwalla has been Leeds City Organist since 2017, and is currently overseeing the renewal of the Town Hall organ by Nicholson & Co. Recent performances include recitals at Coventry, Lincoln, and St Albans Cathedrals, as well as appearances with Collegium Vocale Gent in Ghent and Amsterdam. Darius has also released a recording from Rochdale Town Hall including Whitlock’s Sonata and works by Fela Sowande and Percy Grainger. He has appeared as soloist with the Hallé and London Philharmonic Orchestras, and is a regular orchestral organist and pianist for the BBC Philharmonic and the Hallé. Darius teaches improvisation at the Royal Academy of Music.

Carolyn Craig
Carolyn Craig is the Assistant Director of Music at Wells Cathedral, a position she took up in April 2024. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, she earned her organ performance degrees in the United States and first worked in the United Kingdom as Organ Scholar at Truro Cathedral between her degrees. Following graduation from Yale University, she became Organ Scholar of Westminster Cathedral and then of Westminster Abbey. She has been featured at national conventions of the American Guild of Organists as a performer and speaker.

Friedhelm Flamme
Professor Friedhelm Flamme is an organ virtuoso, conductor, composer, teacher and musicologist.
His organ concerts are raving successes in Germany and all over the world, his CD recordings are lauded by organ music aficionados as well as by professional critics. He has worked as a Director of Sacred Music and teacher of music at Paul Gerhard High School in Dassel since 1991, and teaches organ and continuo at Detmold Academy of Music. In addition, he is the Artistic Director of the international organ festival Vox Organi, the biggest such festival in Germany.

Ourania Gassiou
Ourania Gassiou is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Nicolas Kynaston. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed extensively throughout the UK and Europe in major series and international festivals. In 2011 she was appointed Organist of the Athens Concert Hall. Ourania is particularly interested in promoting the organ in her native Greece, and has created innovative projects which attract large audiences to establish an increasingly prominent role for the organ in Greek musical culture.

Nicolas Haigh
Nicolas Haigh serves as Associate Organist at Saint Thomas Church in New York City where he appears regularly with the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys. Active as a performer throughout the USA, he is principal keyboardist and artistic advisor to Bach Akademie Charlotte. Nicolas can be heard on numerous CDs including Veni Emmanuel, Imogen Holst: Choral Works (Harmonia Mundi USA), and has recently recorded organ works by Nicolaus Bruhns and Vincent Lübeck on St Thomas’s Taylor & Boody organ. Nicolas takes up a position in Uppsala, Sweden in January 2026.

Anthony Hammond
Dr Anthony Hammond is the author of the book Pierre Cochereau: Organist of Notre-Dame, published by the University of Rochester Press, and of numerous articles on the organ and its music. A critically acclaimed concert and recording artist, musicologist, and composer, he studied in England with Roger Fisher and David Briggs, and in Paris with Naji Hakim. He has performed in many of the most prestigious venues in Europe and America, and has broadcast on television and radio on both sides of the Atlantic. Today he is Director of Music at St Peter’s Episcopal Church, Morristown, New Jersey.

Joseph McHardy
Joseph McHardy was born in Scotland to Congolese and English parents. After graduating from the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Academy of Music, he spent a decade performing at opera houses across Europe, and playing with ensembles including the Berlin Philharmonic and The Gabrieli Consort and Players. From 2017 to 2023, he was Director of Music of HM Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, preparing the choir for several historic events, including the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, and the Coronation of TM King Charles and Queen Camilla. Since 2023, he has combined his freelance career with that of Director of Music at St Paul’s Girls’ School in London

Angela Metzger
German concert organist Angela Metzgerhas given recitals throughout Europe and south-east Asia. She has performed with the Gürzenich Orchestra in the Elbphilharmonie, and as soloist with the Augsburger Philharmoniker and the WDR Sinfonieorchester.
Angela is a prizewinner at many organ competitions, and has been awarded the Bayernwerk Cultural Award. She studied church music and organ with Edgar Krapp and Bernhard Haas at the University of Music in Munich, where she taught as a substitute for Bernhard Haas.

Jason Tang
Jason Tang is pursuing his MMus degree at the Royal Academy of Music, studying organ with Prof. David Titterington – his studies are generously supported by the Royal Academy of Music, the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, the Eric Thompson Trust, The Champniss Foundation, and Help Musicians. He has been awarded major prizes, most notably the Regency Award for ‘all-round contribution and achievement’. Jason is currently an ABRSM scholar at the Academy, and is a prize-winning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.

William Whitehead
William Whitehead is a concert organist and teacher. He was winner of the Odense International Organ Competition in 2004, and now plays concerts around the world, most recently at Hull City Hall, Leeds Cathedral and the Stephansdom, Vienna. He also accompanies such groups as the Gabrieli Consort, the Academy of Ancient Music, and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment as part of their continuo group. His Orgelbüchlein Project is well known as a large-scale completion project of Bach’s unfinished collection, and resides at www.orgelbuechlein.com.

Tom Winpenny
Tom Winpenny has held roles at St Albans Cathedral and St Paul’s Cathedral, and studied as Organ Scholar at King’s College, Cambridge. His many solo organ recordings include surveys of music by Malcolm Williamson, Elisabeth Lutyens, John Joubert and Peter Racine Fricker (Toccata Classics), and Robert Schumann, Judith Bingham and Olivier Messiaen (Naxos). His recordings of organ works by Gerald Hendrie and Francis Pott were selected as Critics’ Choices in the American Record Guide, whilst his recording of Elgar’s complete organ works (Naxos) was selected as a Critic’s Choice by Gramophone. An album of organ music by Florence Price will shortly be released on Naxos.
